Video is one of the most consumed types of content, with 85% of all internet users in the United States watching online video content every month, and 87% of marketing professionals using video as an important marketing tool.
But a concerning trend has recently emerged where the demand for video content is rapidly outpacing supply. Most businesses already don’t have access to a reliable, high-quality video content resource. And this increase in demand is only exacerbating the issue, making it difficult for businesses to get the expert video production resources they need.
Enter: toldright.
When Adam Hertzog and I decided to create toldright in 2019, we saw this need for an end-to-end video production solution that delivered accessible, efficient, and exceptional storytelling at a level of quality that didn’t exist for most.
Today, toldright is leading the charge with a first-of-its-kind on-demand concept that’s perfectly adapted for the recent shift in the video production landscape. And it starts by providing all businesses with the opportunity to work with more than 1,500 fully vetted production and content creators across the United States, featuring Emmy Award-winning talent.
The Lightbulb Moment
Adam and I witnessed throughout our careers how stratified the varying levels of talent could be in the media production industry, as well as the lack of access to premium video (and video creators) for many businesses due to budget restrictions. We’ve also seen first-hand many of our friends and colleagues being laid off, furloughed, or asked by big media companies to become contract employees. This meant many of the country’s most talented creators now had more off season and downtime.
We believed a new wave of demand for premium content was coming. Corporate America, brands, athletes, and influencers were all wrestling with the same issue: how to create premium video content, efficiently.
That’s when Adam and I came up with toldright. We took an “Uber Black” approach, and asked some of the elite creators we knew if they would want to work for these businesses during their off season or days off—and the response was an overwhelming, “Yes.” We called the group, “The Neighborhood” and connected our new supply of creative talent with the new customer demand, so we could empower companies of all sizes with the opportunity to have their story, told right.
How we’re changing the video production game
We approached toldright with 3 core principles in mind:
1. Quality is a guarantee
Quality lies in our people. Our founding team is made up of award-winning industry experts and media veterans with decades of experience, who understand compelling and exciting video content.
At the heart of toldright lies an exclusive “Neighborhood” community of more than 1,500 fully vetted video production and content creators around the country featuring Award-winning talent.
Our vast network of 5-star experts includes top-tier producers, creators, editors, on-air talent, technical specialists, and more, who have worked on some of the biggest events in the world such as the Super Bowl, The Oscars, NBA Finals, and World Series.
2. Accessible content for all
It’s a new phenomenon to make on-demand premium video accessible. If you weren’t already associated with an ad agency or had an in-house team dedicated to producing quality video content full time, you were referring to sites like Fiverr, YouTube tutorials, or your local AV Shop for video production. This often meant you received lower-quality video as a result.
With toldright, we wanted to bridge that gap by empowering companies of all sizes and across all industries with the opportunity to tell their story in the best way possible.
We provide businesses the accessibility, affordability, and simplicity they need for branded content, while also delivering some of the most innovative virtual events to date.
3. On-demand and available anywhere
When Adam and I were ideating toldright, we agreed we weren’t going to be another video production company that’s only available in areas where the film and television industry is prevalent.
“Toldright isn’t an L.A. shop or a New York agency—we’re available anytime, anywhere, across the nation.”
We’ve recruited over 1,500 Neighborhood creators on our team who have the flexibility to work both in-person and remotely to meet the demands of any project and at scale.
Thanks to cloud-based production capabilities, we can film, store, edit, and deliver a brand’s most ambitious projects directly from the cloud. With remote work the new norm, this makes producing high-quality, compelling video content faster, easier, safer, and more efficient.
Unlocking Creativity
Reflecting back on our journey so far, I’m excited to say we’re on the path to something unprecedented for our industry. I’m very satisfied to see that in just a short amount of time, we’ve already received an overwhelming response from satisfied clients who’ve been able to engage their audiences and elevate their brand thanks to premium quality video that allows them to tell their story in the best way possible.
Everyone has a story to tell, and we’re ready to get to work with you.
