Lead Video Editor Position: Full Time Published: September 18, 2023 At toldright, we believe that every organization should be able to express its brand values and tell original stories through video. Our award-winning team features industry professionals with extensive experience in network, agency, and sports & entertainment content creation. We have built a community of skilled independent creators who can ensure a quality product every step of the way. These creators are known as the toldright Neighborhood. Our lead editor position will combine high-level video editing with some leadership responsibilities. We anticipate a standard workweek featuring (4) days of project video editing and (1) day per week working on toldright administrative production initiatives, helping our team continue evolving its best practices in video post-production. In addition to editing work, this person will be an integral member of a small team facilitating project work between our internal team and external Neighborhood creators. This role requires a background in editing a variety of video projects, including corporate-style work as seen here. This person must have the desire to work collaboratively and be willing to help toldright continue to evolve its post-production practices. This role will report to the Executive Producer and will work with toldright’s Neighborhood of Creators, Client Services, Neighborhood, and Executive teams. Responsibilities: Edit high-level corporate and entertainment and sports video content Help the internal team vet and recommend new editors to join the toldright Neighborhood Work with the Executive Producer and Neighborhood creators to determine post-production processes and practices Work closely with the team to meet approved company initiatives Be willing to communicate project vision and creative details with clients and the internal toldright team as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, required 10+ years of relevant post-production work experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Understand post-production process Experience in video project workflow, process, and use of emerging technologies a plus Ability to work within tight timelines in a dynamic environment Ability to think creatively to solve issues Ability to work independently Strong problem-solving and ability to think strategically Proactivity encouraged Possess knowledge of the latest post-production tools and techniques Success Qualities: Integrity: Say what you mean.
